A child lived at the foot of Juksan Mountain in Gimje.
His mother passed away early, and a new stepmother came into his life.
The stepmother was very harsh and was a typical stepmother. One day, seeing his father siding with the stepmother, he could no longer endure and ran away to Incheon, eventually becoming a messenger at a lumber company.
The intelligent child overcame all obstacles and became successful as the president of the lumber company.
Many years later, feeling nostalgic for his hometown, the president came down to Juksan for an emotional reunion with his stepmother.
He understood the circumstances that led his stepmother to a life of poverty, and confessed her situation of having to be harsh on her son, and the two embraced, resolving their grievances.
After returning to Incheon, the president brought wood to build a 4-room house for his stepmother at the foot of Juksan Mountain. This is the history of Juksan Children's House established in 1906.
In 2021, it was remodeled and named 'Juksan Child'.
We invite you to the newly remodeled Juksan Child.
